Retail spending during the holiday season is an expression of the overall consumer sentiment, but also influenced by a variety of local factors. This is why the Retail Merchants of Ohio engaged our research team. They sought to understand how the holiday retail spending by Ohio consumers may differ each year from national trends. Forecasting the sales of good or services by type also helps the Ohio businesses gain a more complete picture of consumer behavior, and changes over time.
