As development of suburban communities progresses, elected and appointed leaders benefit from knowing the potential a certain type of real estate may bring in terms of economic activity, and how jobs, earnings, and fiscal impacts change depending on the type of development that takes place. Our team helped Deerfield Township officials understand these impacts in five property redevelopment scenarios related to their Kingswood Park project. Our analysis was further improved with input from a technical assistance panel. This group of experts who made further recommendations based upon their knowledge of the Township’s geography, population, and competition from neighboring communities.
